One of the best places to eat in Tulsa! I find myself frequently craving these flavors. If you love Cajun style or even seafood, I believe this place is for you. I have become a fan of the crab cakes, shrimp po boy, red beans with rice, & the voodoo chicken. I haven’t found a better po boy & the flavors from the sauces they make set them apart. They have a great selection of Cajun styles & sides. You definitely want to try them more than once. When you finish off your meal, don’t forget to try some beignets or get them to go! They are the best! The rum sauce they come with is delicious, it has a sweet dark caramel taste. Service is usually always great as well! We haven’t been disappointed in it & we have been multiple times. Great at making recommendations & ensuring you don’t need anything additional. Our last server was super nice, she provided food updates & was attentive.
Food- Pro- ALL FOOD WAS FULL of flavor and was absolutely delicious. Better to share a plate due to alot on the main dishes. Con- priced high, wish you had smaller portions Service- Pro- EXCELLENT service . VERY professional and patient. I loved how he explained the dishes I asked about and didn't rush our decisions. Very quick to get what u need or refills Con- non. Atmosphere - Love the New Orleans style music playing in the background. Pro it was very cozy and fun place. Lots of spots to eat . Comfy, relaxing and VERY clean but can get loud with all the people there. The bathroom was very clean. Con- I saw a lot of stairs so idk how wheelchair accessible this would be. gator bites - pro. They were tender and tasted awesome with the sauce that comes with it con-there wasn't much gator on the plate for 20 appetizer. Ribs- pro-were amazing. They fell off the bone and the outside of the rib was crispy and full of flavor Con- none except it was A LOT of food and wish the had a half rib order. Gumbo- Pro- very full of flavor, like how it has okra added into it. Loved that I had the option to put it in a bread bowl. Con- none except it's more to add a bread bowl and was already pretty high priced. Drink- Pro- they have Pepsi drinks and the drink weren't outrageous expensive like other places. Con- none. All together I would highly recommend this place especially if it's a date, a special occasion, or just a nice family outing.. It's not too fancy but it's very upscale kind of place It's very good and very excellent service. I definitely can't wait to go back.
We visited Nola’s during a road trip and were absolutely amazed by the quality of the food. Our waitress also took great care of us.
We stopped by for lunch on a weekday and had a wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We started with the GARDEN DISTRICT DIP—a creamy Cajun spinach and artichoke dip topped with parmesan, served with house crostini and spicy corn tortilla chips. It was flavorful and a great way to start the meal. For our main courses, we had the VOODOO CHICKEN and the GRI GRI SHRIMP WITH CHEESE GRITS. The Voodoo Chicken was a Cajun-fried chicken breast topped with shrimp and jumbo lump crab in a rich mornay sauce. It wasn’t spicy, but it was packed with flavor. The Gri Gri Shrimp dish featured creamy cheese grits with sweet corn, served in a spicy Creole butter sauce. It had a nice kick—thankfully, the staff gave us a heads-up about the spice level when ordering, which we really appreciated. For dessert, we enjoyed the BEIGNETS—classic New Orleans-style fritters dusted with powdered sugar. Although they’re typically served with spiced rum, we requested them without it due to dietary preferences, and they were still absolutely delightful The service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. The building itself is beautiful, and the interior ambiance added to the overall charm. Portions were generous—definitely more than enough for one person—and we ended up taking some of our food to go. The best part? Everything—appetizer, two entrees, and dessert—came to just 56 before tip. Incredible value for such a satisfying and high-quality meal. Highly recommended!
I knew I was expecting good food when I came to Nola's but I didn't know the atmosphere would be so cool. The restaurant has speakeasy feels. We were seated in out own little private booth that was giving mobster vibes the best way. And the food so absolutely delicious. (Although I forgot to take pictures of it.) I had the Ga Lee Chicken, blackened and it was so good. Great flavors. We tried fried green tomatoes with remoulade the sauce was so good! And my hubby got the voodoo chicken. Then we had beignets for dessert. From beginning to end our dinner was fantastic. And shout out to Destinee for being an amazing server.
Absolutely fantastic experience at Nola’s in Tulsa! I had the Voodoo Chicken—an incredible twist on a classic—and my crew loved the Lobster Mac & Cheese and kabobs. Every dish was bursting with flavor. We sat outside for the first time, and the patio atmosphere made it even better. Don’t come in a rush—good food takes time, and this is definitely worth the wait. Highly recommend!
Everything about the Nola’s experience was phenomenal. The building itself is beautiful. The waitstaff was attentive and upbeat on a busy Saturday night. But the food!! I had crab cakes, cheese grits and fried corn on the cob. It was easily the best grits and crab cakes I’ve ever had. I was expecting the fried corn on the cob to be pan fried maybe but it was breaded and fried. My gosh, I never knew what I was missing out on, it was so good!!
Went in for the first time for boyfriend's birthday. Was empty when we got there (just time of day, I assume). Had a glass of moscato, crab cakes, creole pasta, and the voodoo chicken. Portions were large, and the bill came out to about 80 bucks before tip. Nice place, kind and attentive staff. We got WONDERFUL beignets on the house for the birthday boy! Will definitely be returning
